Rates, Insurance, and Payment
Navigating the financial side of therapy shouldn't be a barrier. Here's everything you need to know about fees, accepted insurance, out-of-network benefits, and sliding scale options, clearly, with no surprises.
Session Fees
Payment is due at the time of service. Camden Counseling accepts major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and checks.
Accepted insurance plans
Camden Counseling is in-network with the following insurance providers: Aetna, United, Oscar, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. If your plan is listed below, you'll pay only your copay or coinsurance at the time of service, Brooke's office handles the billing directly with your insurer.

Not sure if your specific plan is covered? The best way to verify is to call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask whether Camden Counseling or Brooke Widder, LPC is in-network. You can also ask about your mental health benefits and any deductible that applies.
Don't see your insurance listed?
If your insurance plan isn't listed above, you may still be able to use your out-of-network mental health benefits to offset the cost of sessions. Many PPO plans reimburse a portion of out-of-network therapy costs — and this is more common than people realize.
What is a superbill, and how does it work?
A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes everything your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network reimbursement claim: the date of service, session type, diagnosis code, procedure code, and provider information. Brooke can provide a superbill at your request, which you then submit directly to your insurance company.
Here's how the process typically works:
1
Pay at session
Full session fee paid at time of service
2
Request superbill
Brooke provides an itemized receipt monthly or per session
3
Submit to insurance
You file the claim directly with your insurance company
4
Get reimbursed
Your insurer reimburses you directly, based on your out-of-network benefits
To find out what your plan covers, call the member services number on your insurance card and ask: "What are my out-of-network mental health benefits, and what is my out-of-network deductible?" Brooke is happy to provide superbills to any client who requests them.
